As part of this, they have today announced the launch of their UK self-service ad platform, allowing small and medium enterprises (SMEs) outside of the US to set up advertising campaigns on the platform for the first time.

Twitter have also today announced their official partnership with O2 to offer unique O2 Social Insights and a Social Toolkit. The aim is to guide these small businesses through the social media process so that they are able to effectively market themselves on Twitter and improve their outreach and activities. There are two options, a ‘Promoted Tweet’ or a ‘Promoted Account’. If you are unsure of the difference, the bullet points below will give you a good explanation and there is also a “Learn more” option. If you choose to find out more about either of these, simply click the blue ‘Learn more’ text and read through the details provided. When you’re ready to set up the campaign, click the relevant blue box.

You will then be able to start your campaign. The process is pretty straight-forward and there are a lot of pointers and explanations along the way to help prompt you in the right direction, it shouldn’t be too laborious. It’s important to make sure you are complying with the correct procedures and so if you have any concerns make sure you take another look over the Twitter Advertising Terms.
